January 2008 - Posts

Ok, those of you with older siblings that have been through the class...each year is totally different...different books in some cases, different methods of teaching, and the biggest difference...you are not your older sibling.  What they like and you like are probably polar opposites.  See the world through your eyes, not theirs.

Ok, I am finally getting it together on understanding blogging.  I am sorry for those of you who had trouble posting due to my ignorance on this 'new' technology.  I am trying to stay up to date, I know, I know, I am hopelessly behind already, but I am trying folks.
I want to do podcasting in the new semester.  What are some ideas you have about what we can do with podcasting?
Do you like the idea of blogging for some of your assignments, especially IF I really did get everything fixed?
How do you like to learn?  Do you have ideas about the second semester?  If you were in charge, what would you teach?  What did you expect to learn this year that you have not?  What do you want to learn, or need to learn, to make you a better reader or writer?Idea

What a strange week.  First, there was Monday, and the next day was Friday.  I might grow accustomed to that kind of strangeness.

Great job on posting to the blog.  I have finally gotten all my bugs worked out, I think.  It should be a bit easier to use now.

What did you read over the break?  I read First Shot and am working my way through Rhett Butler's People.  The second book is a look at the same situation as Gone With the Wind but from Rhett's point of view.  I love books like this.  Flipped was this type of book, too.  I thought it was good, also.

(Remember, this is a pathetic entry.  Yours should put this to shame.)
